Shaving Masterclass

 The Art of Shaving

Classic Shaving Master-Class

The Classic Shaving Master-Class course is an in-depth one-day course that teaches the traditional art of open razor shaving. From the tools and preparation required through shaving techniques to post-shave skin care and finishing, this course takes students step-by-step through this highly regarded and sought after barbering service.

The course teaches all aspects of shaving from what tools are needed, how to prepare the skin, applying pre and post shave products as well as the actual technique of free-hand shaving.  It also teaches important health & safety rules and good practice procedures that will enable those who go on the course to deliver the ultimate shaving service.

Usually the course starts at 10am and finishes around 4pm with a short a break for lunch. The course is delivered in a morning and an afternoon session. During the morning session Sheriff will take students through the key points on shaving and give an insight into how to offer and promote a shaving service. In the afternoon session students will have the opportunity to carry out a practical shave themselves with Sheriff guiding attendees through each step ensuring the each is completed before moving onto the next.  Students will receive a certificate to say that they have attended and completed the course.

Students will need to bring a full shaving tool kit and a model. (The model needs to be there for 12:30 and must have around 3 days beard growth.) You can provide the shaving kits as part of the course or ask students to bring their own, that’s up to you.
